Utd took to the field on a foggy Painsthorpe pitch against Hall Green.
Utd started well and the request for controlled passing football was the quickly put into play , with Mallinson &
Radley creating chances for Young & Watson in the opening minutes .
Despite testing the Hall Green keeper a number utd finally took the lead on 9mins when Radley picked up the loose ball
from a corner rode two tackles before driving home.
On 12mins Utd double the lead with a quality finish from Young from outside the box after good work by Watson down the
left.Mallinson went close on 13,14 & 15mins before on 16mins the best move of the game ended with a quality low range
finish from Young.
In response Hall green a goal just before the break when Utd back two were ball watching. H-T 3-1
The second half saw the introduction of Clarkson & Levitt and a number of changes including bringing out keeper Sargent.
Despite a much more even game Utd should have added further goals with Mallinson, Clarkson & Watson wasting good chance.
Radley was particularly unlucky with an excellent header from Young's corner FT 3-1
It was obvioulsy nice to win but the quality of the football this week was far better .Well done !!!
